Abstract
Digital culture has generated changes in news consumption habits, so there is a need to move towards horizontal models between readers and the press to face the distrust of citizens in journalism (Montagut, 2021). The practices of the digital society (Castells, 2006) transformed the ways of relating (Latour, 2007) and the audiences became content prosumers. Likewise, the symmetry of the distributed network (Jenkins, 2008) coexists with infoxication (Han, 2022), for which it is necessary to apply innovation in journalistic methods. How to move towards horizontal models between journalists and sources? Can the relationship between the readership and the local media be improved? Questions that are part of the search for this pilot experience, whose purpose was to address the mistrust of women leaders of common pots through the collaborative construction of non-fiction stories for La Estrella de Valparaíso. The method used was user-based design with problem- solution metaphors and the journey map of emotions, through a prototype built from semi-structured interviews on digital platforms (Pink, 2019). The findings allow determining the existence of prejudices of women leaders about the informative treatment and a positive assessment of the circulation of their testimonies in alternative and/or digital media. In addition, being prosumers allows them autonomy to spread their themes. The pilot allowed students to create content in tune with the motivations of the sources and with innovation in expanded proposals of their life stories for the local newspaper.
