Comunicación intercultural: dos cortezas de un mismo árbol ¿Lahual o Alerce?

Abstract

This article is born in the context of a personal experience, approximating the association of nine mapuche huilliche communities of the Butahuillimapu in the province of Osorno.

The conflict takes root where the codes of communication as much as the intercultural interpretation have been and continue to be from Occident. In this exercise towards intercultural communication, lamentably the persistence of universalistic pretensions, and neo-colonialism pushed by Occident, make in great measure the effective communication of cultural interrelations difficult, generating systematic damage in the subjectivity of individuals.
